Advertising and who can see your visit

This site is funded by advertising served by Google. If you allow it, Google receives information about your visit as it happens — your IP address, your device and browser identifiers, the pages you request, and the site that referred you — because it is a separate company participating in the connection. California law requires your permission before that occurs, so nothing loads until you give it. Declining changes nothing about what you can read.

Choose what is allowed

No advertising at allNo advertising or measurement code loads, and no third party receives anything about your visit. Every article, guide, and calculator works exactly the same.

Non-personalized ads onlyGoogle may load and select ads from the content of the page and general context rather than a profile of you. It still receives your IP address and device information in order to deliver the ad.

What this browser is sending

Global Privacy Control is a browser or extension setting that automatically tells every site you visit not to sell or share your personal information. We treat it as a refusal: with it set, no third-party code loads at all, and we do not ask you to answer a question you have already answered at the browser level. Do Not Track carries no legal force, but a reader who turns it on has plainly not consented, so we honor it the same way.

The consent we have on record

Each answer creates a receipt, so that both of us can see what was asked and what was answered. It holds no name, no email address, and no browsing history — only the answer, its version, and its time. Quote the identifier below if you want us to send you a copy of the record or delete it.

An answer is honored for twelve months, and is asked again sooner if we change what is collected or who receives it. Withdrawing takes effect immediately for anything not yet loaded; because code already in the page cannot be recalled, reload the page to be certain nothing further is sent.

Opting out directly with advertising vendors

The controls above apply to this site. You can also opt out at the vendor level, which applies across many sites:

Browser-level tracking protection and cookie controls also work, and clearing cookies will clear vendor opt-outs that are themselves stored as cookies.

Your data rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a portable copy, opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising, and not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, email hello@glad2bhome.com with the word “Privacy” in the subject line and tell us which right you want to exercise. We will respond within the period required by your jurisdiction, and we may need to verify your identity before acting. You may use an authorized agent; we will ask for proof of authorization.

What we never do

• No session replay, screen recording, keystroke or form capture, or heatmaps. Nothing here records your visit as you make it.
• No chat widget, chatbot, or transcript — there is no conversation for a third party to overhear.
• No advertising or social pixels from any network other than Google, and no third-party analytics platform.
• Our calculators and checklists run entirely in your browser. Income, home price, debt, and project figures are never transmitted to us and never reach an advertiser.
• We do not require registration to read anything, and we do not sell the contents of messages you send us.
